A Drawing Of An Eye.

Stay away from black, As a general rule, I always stay away from black, especially solid black-although, it should work if is part of a color manner with a particular molding and if it is not overpowering the drawing. It`s great to have something that has a range of values-including molding and mats, working as a set. Even with the values and gradations created within the graphite media, the mat or mats and the frame can all be chosen to either compliment, subdue, or emphasize any particular value or aspect of your drawing.

Usage acid- gratis materials, Any matting, magnetic tape or adhesive, barriers, or backup that you utilization in the framework of your artistic creation or drawing must be absolutely acid free. Acidic materials, after long times of time may actually damage the artwork in the frame by distorting the actual paper or by turning the paper a yellowish color.

Use matting, I prefer using mats with the framing of my drawings. If an acidic matting is use, it can be backed by an acid-free material that will act as a protective barrier between the matting and the drawing. There is a standard thickness that is required and favored in the industry for this buffer or barrier. The same meditation, brooding, mulling over, reverie, brown study, concentration, debate, speculation, rare cerebration should be given to the backing of your drawing. If your drawing or art is backed or mounted on an acid-free material, the barrier is avoidable . Some framers use a foam-core board for backing.

The glass should be excellently clean and can be tested for finger prints, dust, hair, or other far-off material, before securing it permanently in the frame. You may have to do this more than once.

It`s how your completed artwork is presented that makes all the difference. Although it`s tempting to just place your drawing in a ready-made frame, there are several things that you should take in meditation, brooding, mulling over, reverie, brown study, concentration, debate, speculation, rare cerebration before framing your artwork to insure it is adequately shielded over the years.

Let your artwork breathe, In attaching the drawing to the backing or whatever secures its position within the mats or frame, it should only be secured at the top and allowed to hang if an adhesive or tape is used. It can not be secured solemnly at all four corners or around its perimeter, because the humidity changes persistently and the paper has to have freedom to flex, expand, and contract. Otherwise, the paper will ripple or develop outbreaks if it is localized in any habit processions in the paper become very apparent when the lighting is directional or at an angle to the framed piece of art. The light causes highlight and shadow because of the contours in the paper. Some framers are using a large synthetic photo type corner that allows the paper to slide in and be secure at all four corners and still allow for the flexing of the paper. It seems to be working quite well, as numerous of my drawings and illustrations using other media on paper, have been framed this fashion for a number of years.

Always skeleton with glass, I would always figure with glass, merely I would likewise pass the redundant money for the UV safety glass. However, I would never use non-glare glass or plexiglas.

The drawing must be cleaned well, removing smudges, dust, or eraser fragments. To notice if there are any tiny fragments on your paper or drawing, you must look at the befall neatly from a critical angle, so that you may notice them contrasting from the paper`s advance as they rise up. You can use a brush or compressed air to remove the fragments from the framing material.

Add a territorial dust cover, After attaching the art and framing materials to the actual frame, a dust cover should be used on the back to keep supplementary dust, spiders, or bugs from entering the framed photograph compartment. This is usually done by using a two-sided tape on the back occur of the molding all the oddity around the perimeter. Then a piece of brown paper is laid down on the adhesive transpire as it is not stopped until flat as you press it onto the adhesive make headway . You then trim the outer edges of the brown-colored paper to fit and then you are ready to attach your hanging wire, before placing your artwork on display.

Okay, shade in the inside outer edge of the inner circle of the eye ( yes, that is a lot of words ). Use the darker pencil. This will add a lot of depth and roundness to the eye.

I hope you enjoyed this simple step by step tutorial on how to draw a realistic eye with pencil. If you have any questions or requests, let me know in the comments below!

Let’s start off with an HB pencil to sketch the shape of the eye. This outline should not be too dark because you want to prevent it from showing through in the end. We just need the basic shapes outlined at this point. The square shape in the pupil is a glare from a window or similar shaped light source. You can use other shapes such as circles or ovals as well.

Start filling in some more lashes, and add some lines inside the inner circle of the eye.

Use the blending stump to fill the white space in the iris. Carefully work around the highlight. Don’t press too hard. You should still be able to see the lines coming out of the pupil when done. If most of the lines have disappeared, you have either used the blender with too much force, or have not pressed hard enough when creating the spokes.

Alright, do what you did in the last step to the pupil. Also, add some more lines (depending on the lightness of the color of the eye) to make it a little darker in some areas.

We have a be nice policy. Please be positive and constructive.

Okay, to start, draw the basic almond-shaped outline of the eye. Try to make the inner corner (next to the nose) lower than the outer corner. P.S, I’m very sorry the pictures hard to see, my scanner made it very light.

I drew Tel-Annas from Arena of Valor in her Valentine’s skin and the eyes definitely helped me! Please give me some feedback on my drawing 🙂

Thanks 🙂 I’m working on an updated version of this today, so it will be up soon.

wow i came out great i loved it i am just going to keep drawing thats form the help!!

Use the 6B pencil to create a shadow under the eye lid to give the eye more depth and roundness.

Draw the highlight first, then the pupil under it. Make sure the pupil is in the center of the circle.

One tip, put some extra shading around your eyes so it gives it a place. Just an eye in the middle of a blank sheet seems weird. It is good to add some shading to say where a nose and eye bags could be. (It doesn’t have to be too detailed, just use a dirty tortillion/blending stick)

UPDATE: For a while now, you guys have requested a tutorial on drawing a pair of eyes. Here it is, along with a super in-depth tutorial as well!

Now, really fill in the lashes with your darker pencil. If drawing a male eye, make the lashes a little lighter than if drawing a female eye.  In this instance, I am drawing a female eye.

I learned to draw following an excellent guide I found HERE.

Using a 6B pencil, fill in the pupil. Avoid pressing too hard or else it will be hard for you to erase if you need to make corrections later on. You can go over the area again to achieve a darker shade. Make sure the highlights stay clean!

Shade the corners of the eye, and the eyelids. YAY!!!!! your all done!!!!!!

Use your dark 6B or 8B to fill it in. You want it as close to black as possible.

Add even more lines! But this time use the darker pencil to make darker lines.

I love to draw, and one of the hardest things for me to draw is facial features, like an eye. This is a tutorial on how to draw the eye below. It is fairly simple but may take a few tries to get right, so keep trying! You will need: 2 Different kinds of pencils. A dark 6B or 8B, and a lighter HB An eraser Paper flat surface, like a table or clipboard to draw on.Also, dont forget to rate!

Darken the inner circle in the eye, the outline of the eye, and draw a line in the inner corner (as showed in the picture)

With a 4B pencil draw spokes going outward from the pupil. Overlap some of the spokes to create thicker lines. This will make the eye look more interesting. Leave some areas untouched as they will be filled in later.

Shade the eye whites as well as the skin around the eyes. Don’t leave the eyeball white or else it will appear unrealistic and lack depth. For a more detailed tutorial on shading eye whites and how to make eyeballs look round, click here.

I am horrible at drawing facial feature, so i think my result is reasonable…it looks like a giant fish with no tail.

Fill in the eyebrows as well as the eyelashes. Eyelashes should be drawn using curved lines, NOT straight lines. To create the eyebrows, use a thin HB pencil. For the eyelashes, go with something darker, like a 6B. Go over the drawing and darken areas such as the pupil, creases, shadows and clean the highlights to make your drawing POP!

On a separate sheet of paper, smear some graphite into a small area. Use the blender to rub the area until the graphite has transferred to the tip of the blender (learn how to use a blending stump here). You will now use that to fill in the outer area of the pupil. This step does not have to be done perfectly. Sloppy smudging will make it turn out better, as well as give the eye more depth.

Hi, welcome to RapidFireArt! My name is Darlene and in this tutorial I’m going to teach you how to draw a realistic eye using easy step by step instructions. This is my first tutorial, so I hope you enjoy it!

For this tutorial on drawing a realistic eye, I will be using the following tools: – Mechanical Pencil with 0.5 mm HB and 4B Ain Leads – Derwent Graphic 6B Pencil – Kneaded Eraser – Blending Stump (Learn how to use them here) – Smooth Bristol Paper

Draw a few eyelashes to show  where you will later draw in larger clumps of lashes. Kinda like a basic outline. Sort of.

I think it could use more work, or updated because I see you said you did this when you were twelve in the comments. I’d like to see how much you improved 🙂 When I was twelve I couldn’t even draw a heart or square right, I really got into drawing just last year when I was 14 (I’m going to be 16 next month) this is still good for the age when you made it 🙂

I’ve added some eyelash reflections, some subtle blood vessels as well as darkened the overall drawing. Try to use as many shades as possible when drawing eyes. Most people are afraid to go dark. Look at the picture in step 8 and compare it to the last step. Going dark makes a huge difference! I used to stop at step 8 too, because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to erase if my hard work turned into a complete disaster. This fear left me unsatisfied with all my drawings because they lacked depth. So take it a step further and make use of your softer pencils!

How to draw realistic eyes from SCRATCH! How to draw 6 different eye shapes How to draw eyebrows Step 2: Shade the Pupil

Darken the creases using a 4B pencil. Use the kneaded eraser to make the highlights pop, as well as dab areas of the eye that need to be lightened. For example the eye whites, lower lash area, brow bone and the inner corner of the eye near the tear duct.

So tell me… was that an easy eye drawing tutorial? Or does it need some improvement? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Draw the crease of the upper eyelid, and the bottom one too. I’m not sure if its called the lower eyelid, but its the line under the eye.
