Create a rough sketch of the flower and leaves as illustrated in the picture.

Would you like to be able to draw your own smiling, happy flower? Now you can, using this simple, easy to follow, step-by-step tutorial. All you need is a piece of paper and some drawing tools, such as a pencil, pen, colored pencils, crayons, or markers.

You can make drawing easier by using basic shapes and then adding details. To draw a flower, all you need are some circles and ovals, then you just add the details. Of course, practice is always recommended too.

Draw the petals of the flowers using curves. Use the circles as guide.

Practice makes perfect. Draw as much as you can. Doodle throughout the day. Look at pictures and attempt to draw what you see. Go back over your mistakes to improve upon them, and keep trying until you succeed. There are not shortcuts.

Complete your sketch by coloring your flowers. Make them any color you want – have fun!

Repeat the process to add detail to the petals of right flower, again using five wavy lines.

Draw semi-circles around the smaller circle thus, making a flower-like structure. Then you could add something in the middle.

Shading is just adding a darker color to the parts of the object light does not reach, and adding a lighter color to the areas that the light shines on directly.

Repeat step 3 until you have fully covered the edge of your inner circle.

You could sit in a dark room, turn your brightness all the way up and trace over the picture.

Draw lines extending from the lower part of the oblong which spread in four directions. Draw a curved loop also at the bottom of the oblong.

Draw an oval to form the outer edge of the flower leaves. Add two parallel lines and connect the parallel lines at bottom as shown in the picture.

Dancing, smiling flowers have been a common part of many cartoons for decades. A famous example of this is the 1932 “Silly Symphonies: Flowers and Trees” cartoon produced by Walt Disney. Today, such flowers often grace sunny window sills in the form of solar powered, plastic “dancing flowers.”

It’s different for everybody. You can’t just draw straight away. You need to practice as much as possible for your drawings to be flawless.

Draw the basic outline of the petals. The petals at the front should be differentiated from the petals at the back.

Draw a bigger circle which has the same center point with the small circle.

Use different shades and colors. Try to use inspiration from the flowers you see around you, and don’t forget to draw in and color a background.

Extend a short, curved line from each side of the center flower’s stem. Draw similar lines from the left side of the left secondary stem, and the right side of the right secondary stem. These lines will form the veins of leaves.

Begin drawing the petals with two line strokes, up and down directions. Always begin drawing the actual lines with a mirror effect.

Sketch a rough outline of the rose, and then start drawing the petals. Use the “U” >> shape first.

How do I find a website that doesn’t overlap lines, as I write too hard and can’t erase my own drawings?

In just a few easy steps, you will have your own smiling cartoon flowers to brighten your day.

Draw curves which connect the lines to form petals for the flower.

Draw a curved vertical line to represent the stalk and add a leaf on one side.

Now, you will add detail to the petals. Beginning with the flower on the left, add a wavy line to the interior of each petal. Each line should extend from the flower’s circle center, form three humps, then attach to the center once more.

Add more petals to cover up empty space using pointed angles.

Outline the leaves using two curved lines each. The lines should extend from the stem and come together to form a point with the leaf vein line.

Draw the grass in which your flower is growing. To draw grass, use short, curved lines that come together in a point, both at their base and at their tip. The result will resemble connected curving triangles with no base line.

Draw five petals around the circle. Each petal will consist of a curved line in the shape of a very rounded “M.” The bottom two petals should connect the flower to its stem.

Add thorns on the stem. This is best drawn using pointed angles. Add details to the rose’s leaf, do not forget that it has a serrated margin.

To draw a flower, start by drawing a small circle in the center of a piece of paper. Then, draw 5 petals coming off the circle that are evenly spaced apart. When you’re done with that, draw a second set of petals that overlap the first set. Finish your flower by drawing a stem that extends down from the circle and then adding 2 leaves on each side of the stem.

Color the drawing and add some shadows and definition lines.

Flowers are a great subject for beginner artists and experienced artists alike. Their symmetrically placed features make for a fun exercise- whether it be pattern work or an exercise to learn how to juxtapose overlapping shapes.

Start drawing the actual lines by the small circle at the middle.

Draw another wavy line parallel to the first. The lines should be closer to one another at the top than at the bottom. This forms the main stem.

Within each eye circle, draw a smaller circle. You can determine the direction in which the flower appears to be looking by drawing this small circle on that side of the eye. Draw a tiny circle within each small circle. Shade the small circle.

It is easiest to use a reference picture showing the exact type of lavender you’d like to draw. You can look up a picture on Google, for example, or borrow a gardening book from your local library. Sketching usually helps, though in this case, you could start with the stalk and then draw the small oval flower buds in rows that are attached to a flowering lavender plant.

This answer space isn’t long enough for a detailed answer but it’s a great request we’ll consider adding as an article later.

Use the last “U” to guide you in sketching the petals similar to what you did on the first and second “U”. You can also add more petals if you wish for a more appealing rose drawing.

Sketch the petals surrounding the bigger circle. They should be almost of the same sizes and shape.

Flowers add cheerfulness wherever they grow – or wherever they are drawn. This is especially so when they also wear smiling faces.

Sketch the petals so they seem to overlap each other, on the first “U”.

Draw curved line. Sketch another one(slightly bigger) below the first until you are able to draw three similar shapes.

Draw a connecting smaller oval figure at the top of the parallel lines to form the top of the flower.

Add the guides of the petals and the leaves. Draw 2 petals in front and a petal at the back of the 2 petals totalling to 3 petals. The leaves of tulip are long and not straight so the guide lines for the leaves should be long curved lines.

Sketch a circle for the flower and a long slightly curved line for the stalk.

Refine the drawing and trace with a pen. Erase unnecessary lines.

Draw other petals which occupy the space left in the circle. They don’t all have to be in the same length.

Now, you will add faces to your flowers. Within the center circle of each flower, draw two smaller circles for eyes. Below the eyes, form a smiling mouth by drawing a “U” shaped line. Draw a short line perpendicular to each end of the “U” shaped line.

Draw two curves at the oval one from the left and the other at the right.

Repeat this process to add detail to the center flower’s petals.

Practice! Draw all the time and soon you’ll see yourself getting better. As you learn, you can teach yourself to perfect things that you struggle with.

Draw slanted lines crisscrossed over each other inside the small circle.

Add two more circles to form the outer border of the flower petals.

Draw another petal using the same principle and lines along the oblong.

Draw curves which extend upward in the oval to resemble budding.

Add more detail. Draw lines in the leaves and in the petals for a better outcome.

Each step in this guide is illustrated. Note that the new markings in each step are highlighted in blue. Sketch your lines lightly at first, as you will be required to erase some of the guide lines that you draw early on.

You could either press lighter when writing or just not overlap the drawing where it says to overlap.

Draw five loosely “M” shaped petals around the circle. The bottom two petals will connect the flower to its stem.

Draw five “M” shapped petals around the circle. The bottom petals will connect this flower to the main stem.

Draw a bigger circle. Make it look like a disc so you could remember the basic outline of a daisy flower whenever you draw one.

Include your email address to get a message when this question is answered.

Draw a vertical oblong. Below the oblong, draw a slender rectangle that would serve as the plant’s stem.

Draw another curved line parallel to each of the curved lines you just drew. These lines form secondary stems.

Complete the mound of grass by connecting the far sides with a straight line. Add detail to the veins of the leaves by drawing one to two short, slightly curving lines extending from both sides of each leaf vein.

Draw a big circle and then draw a smaller one at the center.

Are there any tips to help me draw easier besides practicing?
