This time, let’s play with a standard animal walking on its four legs. This horse is slightly more challenging because the shape of the body is pretty irregular. As you can see below, the size of the head is almost the same as the size of the body.

These illustrations areย notย filled with shadows, highlights and complex digital effects. However, you might have to draw simple shadows on a few occasions. For instance, the shadow located between the head and the body of this pig is needed to separate both shapes. Otherwise, the illustration would be confusing and hard to read.

Some characters might be more challenging to illustrate. For example, the wings of the bat are made from pointed oval shapes. They can be done using a mix of two or three basic shapes, but you can also use your creativity to end up with something slightly different. It’s up to you!

Here in this lesson, let’s draw a simple side-view of a wolf. Change up the color pattern, to make it more unique.
