How To Draw Easy Eyes.

It`s how your finished artwork is presented that makes all the difference. Although it`s tempting to merely area your drawing in a ready-made frame, there are many things that you must take in consideration before framing your artwork to insure it is adequately fortified over the years.

Let your artwork breathe, In attaching the drawing to the backing or whatever secures its position within the mats or frame, it should only be secured at the top and allowed to hang if an adhesive or tape is used. It can not be secured firmly at all four corners or around its perimeter, because the humidity changes constantly and the paper has to have freedom to flex, expand, and contract. Otherwise, the paper will ripple or develop soaps if it is restricted in any pathway waves in the paper become extremely apparent when the lighting is directional or at an angle to the framed piece of art. The light causes highlight and shadow because of the contours in the paper. Some framers are using a large plastic photo type corner that allows the paper to slide in and be secure at all four corners and still allow for the flexing of the paper. It seems to be working quite well, as many of my drawings and illustrations using other media on paper, have been framed this style for a number of years.

Use acid- free materials, Whatsoever matting, tapeline or adhesive, barriers, or championship that you utilisation in the framing of your artistic creation or drawing must be utterly acid free. Acidic materials, after long periods of time should actually damage the artwork in the frame by distorting the definite paper or by turning the paper a yellowish color.

Add a territorial dust cover, After attaching the art and framing materials to the actual frame, a dust cover can be used on the back to keep additional dust, spiders, or bugs from entering the framed picture compartment. This is usually done by using a two-sided tape on the back appear of the molding all the technique around the perimeter. Then a piece of brown-colored paper is laid down on the adhesive follow as it is came as far as flat as you press it onto the adhesive proceed . You then trim the outer edges of the brown paper to fit and then you are ready to attach your hanging wire, before placing your artwork on display.

E`er human body with glass, I would always bod with glass, but I would besides pass the extra money for the UV safety glass. However, I would never use non-glare glass or plexiglas.

The drawing must be cleaned well, removing smudges, dust, or eraser fragments. To notice if there are any small fragments on your paper or drawing, you must look at the draw nigh densely from a serious angle, so that you could notice them contrasting from the paper`s make progress as they rise up. You could use a brush or compacted air to remove the fragments from the framing material.

The glass should be superbly clean and should be tested for finger prints, dust, hair, or other foreign material, before securing it permanently in the frame. You could have to do this more than once.

Stay away from black, As a general rule, I always stay away from black, especially solid black-although, it could work if is part of a color course of action with a particular molding and if it is not overpowering the drawing. It`s good to have something that has a range of values-including molding and mats, working as a set. Even with the values and gradations created within the graphite media, the mat or mats and the frame may all be selected to either compliment, subdue, or emphasize any particular value or aspect of your drawing.

Use matting, I prefer using mats with the framing of my drawings. If an acidic matting is use, it should be backed by an acid-free material that will act as a territorial barrier between the matting and the drawing. There is a standard thickness that is compulsory and favorite in the industry for this buffer or barrier. The same introspection should be given to the backing of your drawing. If your drawing or art is backed or mounted on an acid-free material, the barrier is avoidable . Some framers use a foam-core board for backing.

Draw the highlight first, then the pupil under it. Make sure the pupil is in the center of the circle.

Now, really fill in the lashes with your darker pencil. If drawing a male eye, make the lashes a little lighter than if drawing a female eye.  In this instance, I am drawing a female eye.

Shade inside the eye, and it helps to smudge it with your finger tip or a tortilion. ( Hehe, I just realized how dark I shaded this eye, you can shade it a tad lighter than this.)

Use your dark 6B or 8B to fill it in. You want it as close to black as possible.

I think it could use more work, or updated because I see you said you did this when you were twelve in the comments. I’d like to see how much you improved 🙂 When I was twelve I couldn’t even draw a heart or square right, I really got into drawing just last year when I was 14 (I’m going to be 16 next month) this is still good for the age when you made it 🙂

Start filling in some more lashes, and add some lines inside the inner circle of the eye.

Okay, shade in the inside outer edge of the inner circle of the eye ( yes, that is a lot of words ). Use the darker pencil. This will add a lot of depth and roundness to the eye.

Dont overdo the eyelashes. Start with a few eyelashes and then add more, clumping them together. When you reach midway of the eye start adding eyelashes in the opposite direction. If you study some picture it might help.

Shade the corners of the eye, and the eyelids. YAY!!!!! your all done!!!!!!

Alright, do what you did in the last step to the pupil. Also, add some more lines (depending on the lightness of the color of the eye) to make it a little darker in some areas.

It could have been better, but neah.. it s my first sketch like this :-??

One tip, put some extra shading around your eyes so it gives it a place. Just an eye in the middle of a blank sheet seems weird. It is good to add some shading to say where a nose and eye bags could be. (It doesn’t have to be too detailed, just use a dirty tortillion/blending stick)

Thanks 🙂 I’m working on an updated version of this today, so it will be up soon.

Darken the inner circle in the eye, the outline of the eye, and draw a line in the inner corner (as showed in the picture)

Not perfect for a marker but gray for practice I think I’ll get better

Draw the crease of the upper eyelid, and the bottom one too. I’m not sure if its called the lower eyelid, but its the line under the eye.

Draw a few eyelashes to show  where you will later draw in larger clumps of lashes. Kinda like a basic outline. Sort of.

Okay, to start, draw the basic almond-shaped outline of the eye. Try to make the inner corner (next to the nose) lower than the outer corner. P.S, I’m very sorry the pictures hard to see, my scanner made it very light.

First try I can’t do eyelashes I tried like 5 times and this is the best one so far but thank you it was very easy to follow and go along with.

Add even more lines! But this time use the darker pencil to make darker lines.

I love to draw, and one of the hardest things for me to draw is facial features, like an eye. This is a tutorial on how to draw the eye below. It is fairly simple but may take a few tries to get right, so keep trying! You will need: 2 Different kinds of pencils. A dark 6B or 8B, and a lighter HB An eraser Paper flat surface, like a table or clipboard to draw on.Also, dont forget to rate!
