Add a protective dust cover, After attaching the art and framing materials to the definite frame, a dust cover can be used on the back to keep additional dust, spiders, or bugs from entering the framed photograph compartment. This is usually done by using a two-sided tape on the back materialize of the molding all the scheme around the perimeter. Although it`s tempting to merely place your drawing in a ready-made frame, there are a few things that you must take in meditation,brooding,mulling over,reverie,brown study,concentration,debate,speculation,rare cerebration before framing your artwork to insure it is adequately shielded over the years.
Utilisation acid- free materials, Any matting, tape or adhesive, barriers, or backup that you employment in the framing of your artistic production or drawing should be fully acid free. Acidic materials, after long times of time should actually damage the artwork in the frame by distorting the actual paper or by turning the paper a yellowish color.
Stay away from black, As a general rule, I always stay away from black, especially solid black-although, it can work if is part of a color peculiarity with a particular molding and if it is not overpowering the drawing. It`s good to have something that has a range of values-including molding and mats, working as a set. Even with the values and gradations created within the graphite media, the mat or mats and the frame should all be chosen to either compliment, subdue, or emphasize any particular value or aspect of your drawing.
The drawing can be cleaned well, removing smudges, dust, or eraser fragments. To see if there are any small fragments on your paper or drawing, you must look at the approach compactly from a grave angle, so that you may see them contrasting from the paper`s approach as they rise up. You can use a brush or compacted air to remove the fragments from the framing material.
Let your artwork breathe, In attaching the drawing to the backing or whatever secures its situation within the mats or frame, it can only be secured at the top and allowed to hang if an adhesive or tape is used. It must not be secured seriously at all four corners or around its perimeter, because the humidity changes constantly and the paper has to have freedom to flex, expand, and contract. Otherwise, the paper will ripple or develop sequences if it is restricted in any mannerism rashes in the paper become very obvious when the lighting is directional or at an angle to the framed piece of art. The light causes highlight and shadow because of the contours in the paper. Some framers are using a large synthetic photo type corner that allows the paper to slide in and be secure at all four corners and still allow for the flexing of the paper. It seems to be working quite well, as a few of my drawings and illustrations using other media on paper, have been framed this mode for a number of years.

Use matting, I prefer using mats with the framing of my drawings. If an acidic matting is use, it must be backed by an acid-free material that will act as a territorial barrier between the matting and the drawing. If your drawing or art is backed or mounted on an acid-free material, the barrier is unnecessary . Some framers use a foam-core board for backing.

Create the outlines for the top lip by making a shape that looks similar to a cupid’s bow.

After erasing the triangle, determine where the light source is coming from. For this example, the light source is coming from the top right. I’ve outlined the areas I want to highlight as well as added a cast shadow on left side of the bottom lip.

Shade both the top and bottom lip leaving the areas mentioned in STEP 4 the lightest. As you can see there is a dark shadow under the bottom lip. It starts to fade on the right side to show that the light source is coming from the upper right.
Go over the lighter areas with the pointed end of a kneaded eraser and clean up the highlights to create the glare effect.
Create the bottom lip by drawing a curved line which goes no further than the triangle’s base. Complete the opening of the mouth by using the horizontal line as a guide.

Create some lip wrinkles using a 0.5mm HB pencil. You don’t want to press too hard or else it will be difficult to achieve the effect in the next step.

Using a 6b pencil, darken the shadows in areas such as the outer edges of the lips, under the bottom lip, the wrinkles and the corners of the lips.

You can change the size of the lips by moving the horizontal line up (to make the upper lip thin) or down (to make to make the upper lip thicker). Also, adding more glare will make the lips look even more plump.
Draw a long isosceles triangle. Partway down draw a curve (similar to a “u” shape). Draw a straight horizontal line between the “u” shape and the base of the triangle. The longer you draw the horizontal line, the wider the lips will be. The shorter the line, the more plump they will be.
– Mechanical Pencil with 0.5mm HB Ain lead – Derwent Graphic 6B Pencil – Kneaded Eraser – Blending Stump – Smooth Bristol Paper
Using a blending stump (learn how to use one here), smooth out the shading on the bottom lip. Avoid areas mentioned in STEP 4. Those areas will make the lips appear more plump and round. You will notice that the lip wrinkles slowly start to blend in with the shading. But they shouldn’t disappear!
